What is astrology?
Since childhood, I remember people visiting my greatly revered father
Late Sh. Raja Ram Shastri and believing each and every word of his.
When I was in the 9th standard in 1974, my father started teaching
me astrology a little and then one day our family doctor Sh. Gupta
gave father his horoscope and asked about himself and his wife and
father told them that after six months he will start the period of
Mars and then his wife will have to suffer blood related problems.
So he should wear a red coral. About nine months after this incident
Dr. Gupta again met my father and said that his wife has developed
red sores all over her body which is not responding to any medical
treatment then again father suggested him wearing a red coral and
when he did wear it he was left stunned because his wife recovered
from the problem. Then he asked my father that how is it possible
whole I took the treatment she was remedied, father explained to him
that, “ according to your horoscope, your wife had to be diseased
hence as you were married with her so she had to undergo illness and
that is precisely why while you took the treatment she was remedied.”
I witnessed this incident and hence I felt that astrology is not only
a science but it is way ahead of even medical science. That is when
my interest in astrology was still more accentuated.
When I took up astrology in 1990 after completing my education, M.A.
(Sanskrit) & M.A. (Political Science) from Delhi University, then
first of all I experimented with my university friends and also worked
on some professors who are even today my followers and consult me
on a regular basis.
1. Telling details about a person without even seeing or knowing him.
What can it be called?
2. Diagnosing disease and suggesting treatment to a patient without
any kind of checkup?
3. Helping a person or treating someone who is mentally disturbed?
4. Successful operation of a person for whom doctors have given up
all hope?
What is all this?
The greatest example of the failure of science today is meteorological
or weather department, which can only give an idea.
Whereas many people consider it is superstition and others continuously
believe in it devoutly. On the surface, no matter how much people
may harp on their disbelief but is the shining of the Sun and the
hiding of the Moon on amavasya a play or mathematics that is already
worked out in our panchangas.
Nowadays some charlatans have also entered the field of astrology
whereas astrology in itself is a complete science, medical science,
Para Vidya and psychology. It is considered to be a holistic science.
In my view astrology has such a place that all sciences can become
a part of it.
